Froebel's gift and occupation work were intended to lead the child to invention through handwork. This collection includes gift work scapbooks of Chicago Kindergarten Students, as well as other students. These books include examples of parquetry, paper pricking, sewing, cutting, folding, and weaving. Also contains color scrapbooks. Identified and dated works include: Nora Wells, Harvey Bundy, C.
